Terms and Conditions

Effective Date: 01 October 2024


These Terms and Conditions outline the rules and regulations for using our service. By accessing or using Property Matchmaking services, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must discontinue use of the service.


1. Introduction

Property Matchmaking is a service that facilitates connections between investors, landlords, and service providers. We do not guarantee successful matches, relevant fees apply.


2. Definitions

  • "Service" refers to the Property Matchmaking platform and associated services provided. 
  • "User" refers to anyone who accesses or uses our service, including investors, landlords, and service providers.
  • "Match" refers to a suggested connection between an investor, landlord, or service provider through our platform.


3. Eligibility

To use our services, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old.
  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
  • Be legally permitted to enter into contracts in your jurisdiction.


4. Acceptable forms of Identification

To use our services you must provide ONE of the following from Section A and ONE of the following from Section B. Please note all documents provided must be originals.

Section A:

(a) Full valid UK/EU Passport;

(b) Photo Driving Licence;

(c) National I.D. Card with photo;

(d) Bus Pass.

Section B:

(a) Utility bill (not more than 3 months old);

(b) Bank/Credit Card Statement (not more than 3 months old);

(c) Council Tax bill (not more than 13 months old);

(d) Benefit Book or letter confirming rights of benefits.


If you are unable to provide one document from Section A and one from Section B please provide

THREE from Section C.

SECTION C:

(a) Utility bill (not more than 3 months old);

(b) Bank/Credit Card Statement (not more than 3 months old);

(c) Council Tax bill (not more than 13 months old);

(d) Benefit Book or letter confirming rights of benefits;

(e) Local Council Housing Authority Rent Card/Tenancy Agreement;

(f) Current Full UK driving licence (old style);

(g) Recent original Mortgage Statement;

(h) House or motor insurance certificate;

(i) Firearm/Shotgun Certificate;

(j) Correspondence from relevant government agency/court;

(k) Letter from householder with whom you are living.


5. Service Description

Property Matchmaking provides a platform for matching housing contracts with investors, landlords, and service providers. We facilitate introductions and connections but do not guarantee a successful match, job completion, or any specific outcome from the connections made.


6. Fees and Payment

Relevant fees apply to the use of our services. By using our service, you agree to pay all fees as outlined at the time of payment. These may include:

  • Matchmaking Fees: Charged upon making a connection.
  • Other Service Fees: As specified.


No Guarantee of Match: While Property Matchmaking makes efforts to facilitate introductions, we do not guarantee a successful match, and fees remain payable regardless of whether a match or successful business relationship is achieved.


7. User Responsibilities

Users agree to:

  • Use the service only for lawful purposes.
  • Provide accurate and truthful information.
  • Provide proof of right to rent and own property in the UK.
  • Provide the Title Deeds and all relevant information for any submitted property.
  • Respect the privacy and intellectual property of others.
  • Not engage in fraudulent or misleading behaviour.
  • Not use the service for spamming, phishing, or other harmful activities.


8. Registration and Security

Users may be required sign up to access certain features of the service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your information. We will not share your details or contact information without confirmation from you in the first instance. Details and contact information may need to be shared in order to facilitate a successful match. You agree to notify us immediately if you become aware of any unauthorised use of our services, including resources.


9. Termination of Service

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the service, without notice, if:

  • You breach these terms or engage in fraudulent activity.
  • You misuse the platform or violate the law.
  • We discontinue the service.

Upon termination, any fees paid are non-refundable unless stated otherwise.


10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Property Matchmaking is not liable for:

  • Any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.
  • Any loss of data, revenue, or profits arising out of your use of the service.
  • The final outcome of any connection or match facilitated through our platform.


11. Intellectual Property

All content and materials provided through Property Matchmaking, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, resources and software, are the property of Property Matchmaking or our licensors. Users may not reproduce, distribute, or exploit this content.


12. User-Generated Content

Users may submit content, such as reviews or feedback. By submitting content, you grant Property Matchmaking a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, and perpetual license to use, reproduce, and display your content in connection with the service. Users are solely responsible for any content submitted.


13. Privacy

Your use of the service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which outlines how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. By using the service, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in the Privacy Policy.


14. Dispute Resolution

In the event of a dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or the use of our service, you agree to first attempt to resolve the issue informally by contacting us. If a resolution cannot be reached, disputes may be resolved through arbitration, as mutually agreed upon, or as governed by the law.


15. Changes to Terms

Property Matchmaking reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting. Your continued use of the service after changes are posted will constitute your acceptance of the updated terms. It is your responsibility to review the Terms regularly.
